i must admit that i am in no way an expert in this field, but so far didn’t see anything making me think that LLM or any form of “AI” show anything coming close to intelligence, let alond super-intelligence.
what i see are search functions on steroids that work according to algorithms and a huge amount of training data, having the ability to run an incredible number of evaluations in a very short time. at the cost of tons of energy of course.
the danger i see is in people trusting this hyped “intelligence” and others using it to tell people what they want them to believe. together with an attention span shrunk to seconds because of the continuous flooding with stimuli, democrazy becomes more and more of a joke.
srila prabhupada knew that of course, idiots electing which monster they want to be ruled by. there’s no intelligence in the machine, but a certain amount of evil intelligence in those who use it for their selfish, greedy ends.
