ADjustments to existing ISKCON centres site

I’m removing things from the existing site and making it usable while we work on the new site. THis is one section that is going.

(moved this to the centers category.)

…while we work on the new site.

i’m not really working on the new site. i created it, you installed plugins and a theme you said you probably don’t want to use, but that’s it until now. is there anything i should do at this point?

how to get the centers’ data into the new site?

This middle widget is also going

There are several things to do. I will create a list shortly

Since the new site will take some time, I want to get the existing site to do a minimal job.

One of the tasks is to get the header to look like the one at prod.iskcon.org

This would involve using css to generate a gradient background in the header.

THe colors are Dark Blue (#1E3A89), Light Blue (#247EA6),

I will create a transparent logo to overlay this.

Is this something you can do? I’m giving you admin access to the site.

yes, i can do that.

I added you as a user . did you get the email from WP?

yes, i got it. haven’t tried it yet but am sure it will work.

this header background is what has to be replaced with a gradient that looks like the one in prod.iskcon.org

Here is the logo white with transparent background

just now i spent 3 hrs trying to get the logo to display on the current site. just doesn’t work. i managed to change the header colors to the gradient you want, but the .png logo just won’t show. something not working with the multi-site setup and / or caching. in the end the site went unresponsive and i didn’t see a way to restart the server. no root access via the cpanel / SSH login. eventually it recovered, but without logo image now.

this is a horrible waste of time trying to gradually improve little details in the site we’re going to replace anyway.

i kept thinking about this, disturbing my japa, and finally managed to trick the weird theme action into showing the transparent PNG file.

(you may have to force-refresh your browser cache @Pancharatna.das)

Yes, it is working. All good.

The reason I wanted to get this done is that they want to launch the new ISKCON.org site very soon and link to a centers site.

The new site will give more flexibility in listings etc. but it will take some time.

The ISKCON.org teams wants an adjustment to the header. Here is the .png file

done.
